Richard Irvine
Musically, I have very eclectic tastes and have no problem about going from classical to jazz to rock to pop – if I can feel something inside, then that’s fine by me. I must admit my favourite genre of music is probably the classic big band and jazz of the 1920’s to 1950’s which, to me, is extra special and before you ask I was only born in 1971! I have a large music collection consisting of records (from 78s onwards), CDs and DVDs and now some downloads too.
In addition to RNA FM, I sing in the Arbroath Male Voice Choir, and I enjoy going to the theatre, investigating local history, and visiting car boot sales.
Professionally, I am a Chartered Biologist with an honours degree and PhD from the University of Abertay, Dundee. I have a particular interest in environmentally friendly methods of waste management.
