John Maidment

I have presented Classical Moments on Radio North Angus since 1996.

I am interested in all types of classical music from the baroque era up until the first half of the 20th century. I also have an interest in jazz and present the occasional programme of this genre.

I am Honorary Secretary of the Carnoustie Recorded Music Circle, a group which meets once a month during the winter. The meetings take the form of musically illustrated talks and a wide range of classical music is covered throughout the course of a season.

Outside of classical music, I enjoy cycling and compiling, and participating in, quizzes.
