Radio North Angus shall, as usual, be providing the commentary and PA system at the 2014 Lathallan Highland Games to be held this Saturday, 27 September, between 2.00 and 5.00 pm.

Hundreds of pupils from local primary schools, and their families and friends, are welcome to enjoy an afternoon of fun and competitions at Lathallan School, near to Johnshaven. The event has been growing over the 11 years and promises to be a great day out for all the family.

Craig Munro from the Red Hot Chilli Pipers will open the event.

Pupils from Albyn, Bervie, Catterline, Johnshaven and Lathallan Schools will all compete. Events include Piping and Drumming Competitions (from 1pm), tug of war, tossing the caber, woodland dash and fun dog show.

There will be a bar, BBQ, tuck shop, teas and coffees with sumptuous Lathallan home bakes, stalls, face painting, and a raffle with fantastic prizes. Stalls include Woodhouse Wines, Usbourne Books, Cherubs Jewellery, Cakes by Grace, Sandra Solas, and Rugby Plus.

Admission to the event is free.
